Hello!
I’m back and it’s been almost a year since my last blog post. Last year I came down with something and was out of the game for 3 weeks in December. I had to let the blogging once a day for the month of December go. I’m going to try it again this year. I’ve already been sick with a respiratory virus in November and finally feeling better. So, let’s start a couple days early with blogging. I can’t guarantee I’ll get blog posts up for 11/29 and 11/30 this week but starting Thursday 12/1 I’ll be getting blogs up everyday.
Today, I’m sharing a new YouTube video my mom and her friend put together over the weekend. It’s a video on how to starch quilting cotton. So, why do you want to starch quilting cotton? Starch makes the fabric stiff and helps with pulling or stretching. This leads to more precision cutting and sewing when it really counts. My mom is going to be making a pattern called Social Sharks by Elizabeth Hartman and it has some pretty small pieces in it. She felt that starching the fabric would help with construction of the quilt. Here is the video:
Thanks for watching and stay tuned for more fun and projects.
Happy Sewing!
