Hello!
This past week has been somewhat productive. I mentioned in last week’s blog post that I am taking part in a small craft fair at the end of the month. I’ve started my sewing for that with some easy makes – drawstring bags. I came across this pattern from Sotak Handmade. It’s a quick and easy pattern so I set out to make a few this past week. The pictures aren’t great because I sewed in the evening after dinner so no natural light. I also need to get cord for the drawstring part of the bag.
I thought they turned out pretty well. I am using some of the Essex linen I have collected over the years. It was hard to cut into the mermaid fabric and the coral Essex because I love them both so but they’re not doing anything sitting in my stash. If I keep one, it’ll probably be that one.
I’m also prepping other supplies for an upcoming sewing weekend at the coast. I will with my mom and sister for 4 days and hope to get quite a bit done.
Lastly, I signed up for a Sew Together Bag class at my local quilt shop. The pattern is by Sew Demented and looks like a fun sew. I picked out fabrics from an Alison Glass bundle I have and plan to do a rainbow bag with rainbow zipper tape for the outer zipper.
Happy Quilting!
