Passage Quilt Sew Day

Hello!

Yesterday my friend Janet and I joined a group of ladies at our local quilt shop for a passage or bereavement quilt sew day. There were 10 of us which was a great turnout. Janet made kits for everyone and we were able to get 10 quilt tops done. It was a very productive day.

I worked on a Missouri Star Quilt Co. pattern called Four Patch Frenzy.

The original pattern makes a much larger quilt than what I needed for a passage quilt. Passage quilts are 40″ x 60″ so I used 20 – 10″ squares to make 40 blocks. This went together quickly and I’d recommend this pattern if you need to make a quick quilt.

I used part of a batik layer cake and cut some additional 10″ squares. Janet brought the dark fabric I used for the four patches and I got a remnant from the local quilt shop for the light fabric in the four patches.

I still need to add a small border to get it to the correct size and then it’s off to the longarm quilter this weekend.

Happy Quilting!

Camille
