Hello!
So I’m moving along with my UFO/18 Quilts in 2018 list. I’ve finished one more passage quilt top and have two others in the works. I can’t technically cross the finished top off my list until it’s quilted and bound but I’m happy to potentially have three more quilt tops done for the long arm quilter this week. I’ll be picking up 2-3 more passage quilts from her when we meet. Once I get those bound I can cross them off my list.
This passage quilt top is the pattern Falling Leaves from Moda Bake Shop. This quilt takes a jelly roll and a half yard of background fabric. I used a jelly roll called Indigo and pulled the background fabric from my stash. I purchased the jelly roll from someone cleaning out their stash on a Facebook group. This was a quick quilt to put together. I took a couple days and did little bits here and there but it could probably be done in a day.
I’ve started 2 more Disappearing Pinwheel Churn Dash from Missouri Star Quilt Co. this past week. This time I used a blue and white layer cake also purchased in the same destash on Facebook. I think they’re turning out wonderfully. There aren’t enough blocks to make two full quilts but I’ll use some fabrics from my stash to fill in.
In other news, the next Project Quilting Challenge was posted yesterday and the theme this week is Triangles. I’m not quite sure what I’m going to do but the challenge is to use mostly triangles in your quilted project so I need to give it some thought and draw out a couple ideas to see if they’ll work out. I have until January 28th to finish and link up my project on the Project Quilting website.
Happy Quilting!
Camille
