Cowgirl Baby Quilt

Hello!

A while back my LQS had cowgirl and cowboy charm packs and some coordinating fabrics. So I bought one of each charm pack and enough of the polka dot for two baby quilts. It just so happens I’m expecting a boy and my husband’s co-worker was expecting a granddaughter. Perfect!

Last Monday, I joined a friend at her house for a sewing afternoon. I had the partially finished baby quilt that I wanted to get done and I knew she had a design wall available so I took the opportunity to use it while I was there. I had the blocks finished but they needed a good pressing and laid out the quilt. I stuck with something simple for this baby quilt, Falling Charms. I do a lot of the Falling Charms pattern because it goes quickly and uses two standard size items, 5″ squares and 2-1/2″ strips. I assembled the quilt top and decided it needed a border to finish it off. I have chosen a brown minky for the back and I had my LQS longarm an allover stars and loops design. I just need to sew the binding on and then I can gift it.

Happy Quilting!

Camille
